It is relatively clean. There are no noticeable scratches or dirt.
I confirmed that sound comes out from both headphones and OUTPUT (I MIX) when a keyboard is connected to MIDI IN, and that the tone can be changed by operating the keyboard buttons.
The internal battery is likely dead, so please replace it yourself.
The instruction manual is also included, although it has underlines and notes.
The TX81Z is a 4-oscillator synth, a second-generation product in Yamaha's popular FM sound source synth series. The TX81Z's oscillators can generate 8 different waveforms, allowing for a wide range of sounds such as FM bells, electric pianos, and rich basses and leads. The [LatelyBass] preset, heavily used in early house and Detroit techno works, also contributed to the TX81Z's fame. As this is an old item, please only purchase if you understand this.
