Fresh, lively firefly squid from Toyama Prefecture, caught in the early morning of April 13, 2026!

(Since the morning paper seems to be off today, I took a photo with the clock. We caught a total of 40L.)

We scooped them up from deep water, so they are free of sand. (However, marine debris such as wood chips, seaweed, small fish, and mock firefly squid may be included.)

We caught these to eat ourselves.
Since we have extra after sharing with relatives, friends, acquaintances, and colleagues, we are selling them on Mercari.

Since raw food is prohibited for sale on Mercari, we are reluctantly selling them as frozen fishing bait!
(It's a shame, as they are actually for delicious human consumption. Crying.)
But if you catch a big one using them as fishing bait, you'll be like a Wasara-be Choja! Haha!

They are portioned into approximately 400g-420g packages and placed in M-sized Ziploc bags.

They are frozen flat for easy storage in the freezer and thawing.

The total weight will be under 5kg, so we will ship via Kuroneko Yamato Cool便 (cool delivery) size 80. To ensure the total weight including the cardboard box and packing materials is under 5kg, we are selling them with an actual net weight of approximately 4.4kg.

Since Mercari便 does not support cool delivery, please understand that we will be shipping via Kuroneko Yamato Cool Takkyubin (cash on delivery).

The cash on delivery fee will vary depending on your region, so please refer to the image.
The shipping fee will be the sum of the delivery fee + cool delivery fee!
