Fresh, lively firefly squid from Toyama Prefecture, caught in the early morning hours of April 13, 2026!

(Since the morning paper seems to be off today, I took a photo with the clock. We caught a total of 40L.)

We scooped them up from deep water, so they are free of sand. (However, there may be some marine debris such as wood chips, seaweed, small fish, or other similar squid.)

We caught these to eat ourselves.
Since we have extra to share with relatives, friends, acquaintances, and colleagues, we are selling them on Mercari!

Because Mercari prohibits the sale of raw food for consumption, we are unfortunately selling them as frozen fishing bait!
(It's a shame, as they are truly delicious for humans to eat. 😭)
But if you catch a big one using them as bait, you'll be like a Wasirabe Chojya! lol

They are portioned into approximately 400g-420g bags and placed in M-sized Ziploc bags.

They are frozen flat for easy storage in the freezer and thawing.

The total weight will be under 5kg, so we will ship via Kuroneko Yamato Cool便 (cool delivery) size 80. To ensure the total weight including the box and packing materials is under 5kg, we are selling approximately 4.4kg of actual product.

Since Mercari shipping does not offer cool delivery, please understand that we will be shipping via Kuroneko Yamato Cool Takkyubin (cash on delivery).
