Red Handled Combination Peeler - Classic Vintage Kitchen Tool
A&J
This was manufactured by A&J in the United States of America sometime between 1940 and 1950. A vintage kitchen gadget, commonly known as a combination vegetable peeler, corer, and serrated cutter/garnish tool. It features a painted red wooden handle with a white/beige stripe close to the hanging hole at the end of the utensil. Approximately 6.5 long. The red color adds a pop to your countertop for that vintage kitchen utensil display. The paint is cracked, chipped and missing in places. The wood handle feels intact and sturdy without cracking seen. The tang (metal piece that anchors the cutting portion) feels sturdy inside the wooden handle. The cutting portion or serrated metal blade is stainless steel. There is slight patina. It is riveted together around the tang. The connection is intact but does have some movement noted. I have never used this utensil. It was part of a large red kitchen utensil display that I used to have in my farmhouse. Sold as is. From a cat friendly smokers home. #125-2 B 11
