Bugatti Italy Sale & Pepe Salt Pepper Balloons A Dolcetti Modernist Memphis NOS

Whimsical Italian modernist Bugatti Evolution “Sale & Pepe” salt and pepper balloon set, designed by A. Dolcetti.  Yes — the blue balloons really are the salt and pepper shakers! Each removable balloon sits atop a long stainless steel stem, creating a wonderfully strange sculptural tabletop piece when displayed in the polished round stand.  To fill, remove the stem from the base, twist open the two halves of the balloon, add salt or pepper to the lower section, close, and sprinkle while holding the stem.  Constructed with food-safe PMMA balloon containers and 18/10 stainless steel base, according to the original instruction sheet.  Condition: New/unused without original box. Includes both blue balloon shakers, stems, stainless steel display base and original multilingual instruction sheet. Base may show light surface/storage marks consistent with handling.
