Description
The Tobu 8000 series is a train that runs on the Tojo Line. It operates between Yorii and Shinrin-koen, and on the Ogose Line. In 2014, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tojo Line's opening, it was repainted into this livery. It ran until 2018, after which it returned to its original paint scheme. The 8000 series 8506F was used as a work vehicle for the Chichibu Railway's safety equipment. It was used to transport 8000 series trains from the Tojo Line to the Isesaki Line, or vice versa. Since April 2024, like the 10030 series and 50000 series, the 8000 series has been operated by Chichibu Railway's DEKI (locomotive) when running on the Chichibu Railway. In 2025, the 81111 formation was repainted from sage cream to grape color No. 1.
