Antique 1920s-40s Hand Painted Japan K Mark Biscuit Jar Bamboo Handle Floral

Beautiful antique Japanese hand-painted pottery biscuit barrel / cookie jar, likely dating to approximately the 1920s–1940s. The jar features colorful hand-painted floral decoration in green, blue, rust and brown over a warm cream ground, with blue glazed borders. It retains its matching fitted lid and tall natural bamboo/rattan swing handle. The underside bears a distinctive K floral backstamp with “HAND PAINTED JAPAN.” This K mark is documented on Japanese export pottery and is tentatively dated to the 1920–1940 period. The exact manufacturer is currently unidentified. Condition: Very good antique condition for its age. The pottery shows overall glaze crazing and minor age-related surface marks/discoloration. The bamboo/rattan handle is intact and shows normal age-related wear and variation. The fitted lid is present and appears intact. No chips, cracks or repairs observed.
