[Hon-Togi Finish Customized Work]
This is a beautifully polished boxwood shogi piece.

Even with careful use of new pieces, they can eventually become soiled, and it takes time to achieve the rich boxwood color, or the so-called candy color.

This work has been polished and chamfered, similar to the carved and inlaid pieces or raised pieces by popular piece makers.

Hon-Togi finished pieces are customized works that reproduce the indescribably beautiful candy-colored boxwood hue, reminiscent of the polished and worn state from years of use and handling.

It has been lightly wiped and polished with ibota wax for stain prevention and gloss.
We believe that the candy color of the boxwood will deepen further with use in games and game analysis.

★As a side note, we would like to share a compliment we received from a customer who previously won a similarly finished work by Yamamine. (Address and name have been omitted.)

I have safely received the product.
I am from XX City, Saitama Prefecture. I safely received the item I won this morning. I have been teaching shogi to children as a JSA-certified shogi instructor for many years. This time, I bid on this item as a reward for myself. I feel that the quality and feel of playing are several levels better than the pieces I bought at the association's store for 30,000 yen. Please continue to contribute to the expansion of pieces and other items. Thank you very much.

The above compliment was received via transaction messages, and it was such a happy and encouraging message that we wanted to share it.
