Description
This is an advanced explanation for white carpet chum.
Please excuse my personal opinions.
My friends are catching large Ishidai (striped beakfish).
The commonality among those who catch large Ishidai is that they fish in spots others aren't fishing, or use unique chumming methods that others aren't using. The premise is to attract and keep the fish with white carpet chum, and then concentrate the chum on the bottom to create turbidity. This is where it gets interesting: one person cuts a 2-liter plastic bottle in half, attaches a weight, ties a rope, throws it to the fishing spot, sinks it to the seabed, and repeats the process of retrieving the rope to accumulate turbidity on the bottom (lol). Another person ties a sock's toe to the fishing line, uses white carpet chum for Black Rockfish, crushes oysters well, adds a little potato starch, mixes thoroughly, stuffs the chum into the sock, jigs with the rod to release the chum on the bottom, and continuously creates turbidity (lol). I realized there are some amazing people out there (lol).
But they catch a lot of large Ishidai.
They have an incredible pioneering spirit, trying things differently.
I truly respect these friends of mine.
I encourage everyone to try it too (lol).
Also, white dumplings are especially recommended for Ishidai fishing. Mix about 3kg of white carpet chum with about 3kg of rice bran and a little water to form dumplings, then throw them to your fishing spot. (Water content is important.)
White dumplings are incredibly visible. They have immense power to attract distant Ishidai. Even a single dumpling has tremendous power. If there are other anglers nearby, using white carpet or red carpet chum will prevent them from catching anything. They won't even get bites. That's how precisely the fish will gather.
Some might think this is a joke chum, but it's serious chum. I've spent 28 years thinking about how to catch fish while keeping costs down, and this chum is the result.
Ishidai are not mythical fish, nor is Ishidai fishing only for the wealthy. I believe Ishidai fishing is about passion.
For your reference, last October, using this chum, I caught 26 Ishidai or young Ishidai (28cm to 53cm) in one day (with chum). (In autumn, an average of 10 fish per day.)
There's a world you don't know within this chum (lol).
Please try the white dumplings at least once (lol).
