Description
Vintage spherical crotal-style sleigh or harness bell measuring approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter. The bell is unmarked and made from an unidentified cast metal with an aged brass- or bronze-tone surface. It has an equatorial sound slot and several openings around the upper portion. The projecting mounting shank is heavily corroded and appears broken or incomplete. Condition includes oxidation, pitting, scratches, discoloration, and general age-related wear. Exact age, maker, and metal composition are unknown. Ringing function and internal clapper condition have not been confirmed. Please review all photographs closely for construction and condition.
