One of the world's three most famous hardwoods, as you know.
Black walnut is moderately hard and resilient.
It's not as extremely hard as zelkova or oak, making it just the right hardness for cutting food on a cutting board with knives and kitchen knives.

■ Confident Water Repellency. Luxurious 3-Layer Finish
The water repellency and durability of the water-repellent finish are completely different from those simply finished with linseed oil, perilla oil, or beeswax polish.
After a two-layer pre-treatment using Washing Ring Stain and Sap Blocker and Water-Repellent Ceramic Multi from [tatara], which are now widely used for wood surface protection and have cleared Japanese food safety standards, a wood wax [wood food natural wax] made from natural beeswax, organic coconut oil, and high-purity food-grade mineral oil has been applied.
Of course, it's MADE IN JAPAN quality.
Therefore, with simple maintenance, water repellency and cleanliness can be maintained for a long time.

After use, remove any dirt, lightly rinse with water, wipe dry, and air dry in the shade.
Do not use a dishwasher.
