Description
1947 A Book for Christmas Reading by William M. Thackeray, Vintage Book, The Cuneo Press, Inc. A beautifully produced Christmas volume featuring three illustrated works by William M. Thackeray: Our Street, Doctor Birch and His Young Friends, and The Kickleburys on the Rhine. Profusely illustrated with Thackeray’s own sketches, the book also includes the 1946 Christmas Broadcast of Pope Pius XII. A lovely vintage holiday book with green cloth, gilt spine decoration, red endpapers, and deckled page edges. Good vintage condition. Pages are in nice condition with secure binding. Several page edges remain uncut, suggesting the book may have seen very little use. Wear is limited mainly to the cover, with rubbing and light edge wear. Spine has some wear at ends and very small section missing from top end. Please see all pictures as well to help determine condition.
