Signed first edition, first printing of Nantucket Cuisine Cookbook by Ellen Brown, illustrated by Nantucket artist Rose Gonnella. Published by Faraway Publishing Group in 2002.  This copy is personally inscribed and signed by the author on the title page: “For Julia & Alex…Happy Cooking!” dated December 2002.  A beautifully designed, landscape-format cookbook featuring more than 150 recipes, from seafood and salads to grilled dishes and desserts. Every recipe includes margin notes from the author with the story or inspiration behind the dish, cooking tips, and serving suggestions.  The back of the book includes A Year of Island Occasions: Menus for a Dozen Memorable Meals—seasonal Nantucket-themed menus paired with island history and traditions, including a Fourth of July supper and an Opera House Cup Race boat picnic. Rose Gonnella’s lovely illustrations appear throughout.  Condition: Interior is clean and bright, with no writing noted other than the author’s inscription.
