Description
This is a slightly unusual type of obi, pieced together from three fabrics with completely different textures. ① Satin-like woven fabric with a striped pattern and a pine, bamboo, and plum tree brocade pattern. ② Dyed fabric with a striped and bamboo pattern, likely cotton or muslin (wool). ③ Dyed fabric with a coin pattern and a strongly crinkled crepe texture. All fabrics have some damage. There are areas where the stitching is frayed. Photo 5 shows a particularly severe area of damage, in the center of the side of fabric ①. The obi lining uses a fabric with a striped pattern. It does not appear to be standard. Please understand that this is an antique obi and use it as a material or for your collection. Thank you.
