Vintage J Palmer Pottery Heart Luminary Candle Holder Hamburg NY Signed Blue

Beautiful handmade studio pottery luminary by J. Palmer / Palmer Pottery of Hamburg, New York. This charming wheel-thrown stoneware piece features large heart-shaped cutouts along with smaller pierced openings around the upper portion, allowing candlelight to shine through. It has a lovely deep cobalt/denim blue drip glaze that transitions into creamy white and natural warm-toned stoneware. The underside is impressed “HAMBURG NY” and bears the potter’s incised artist mark/signature. Perfect for use as a votive or tealight candle holder, or simply displayed as a piece of American studio pottery. The heart motif makes it especially nice for Valentine’s Day, wedding or anniversary décor, while the rustic glaze works beautifully with farmhouse and country décor. Measures approximately 3½ inches across the top opening. Please see photos for additional measurements. Pre-owned vintage condition with the natural glaze variations and characteristics expected of handmade studio pottery. Please examine all photos closely as they are part of the description.
