This aircraft was jointly developed by aircraft manufacturer McGuire and the military, which is why it features large horizontal stabilizers, unusual for R-type fighters. Its distinguishing feature is the special beam cannon called the Shock Wave Cannon (initially called the Explosive Wave Cannon upon its first appearance in R-TYPE⊿).

During the Satanic Rhapsody incident, despite being a prototype, it was deployed in battles against the Bydo to make up the numbers and was involved in the extermination of Bydo in various regions of Earth. Perhaps due to these achievements, the successor model, the R-11A, was later officially adopted and deployed to frontier defense forces and the like.

The compressed beam cannon mounted on the back of the R-11A's fuselage evokes the design of the earlier RX-10, but these armaments were initially set as external optional weapons.
Given the above, this is likely quite a rare item.
