Ultra Rare Signed Weiss Demi-Parure 1950s Necklace & Earrings Set
Albert Weiss
Signed Weiss demi-parure — rhinestone necklace with matching earrings, mid-1950s. Both pieces signed. Very rare and unique. Rhodium-plated setting throughout. Round chatons run the full length of the chain with baguette accents that build in density toward the front, drawing the eye to a kite-set square centerpiece — pavé field, baguette frame, faceted center stone — finished with a triple rhinestone fringe drop. The earrings carry the same round-and-baguette vocabulary. Albert Weiss left Coro in 1942 to start his own house, and the reputation he built was for stone quality: Austrian crystal, hand-set, with a clarity most costume makers of the era didn't pay for. This set shows it — the baguettes sit flush and even, and the density gradient toward the centerpiece is deliberate design rather than filler. Complete demi-parures are considerably harder to find than single pieces. The earrings are almost always separated over seventy years. This one stayed together.
