Vintage Handmade Collapsible Wooden Bowl Basket Trivet Apple Shape Deep Spring

This is a vintage handmade collapsible wooden bowl basket/trivet in the shape of an apple, made by Deep Springs Studios. Handcrafted in the USA, this vintage wooden piece is cut from a single piece of hardwood into concentric expanding rings using a scroll saw. It expands outward from a flat, trivet-like base into a 3-D slotted basket meant for holding fruit, vegetables, rolls, or other items and collapses flat down to roughly 3/4 of an inch thick for compact storage. It is in very good vintage condition with just a little wear to the wood stain on the inside that could easily be touched up (please see photos). This cute basket would make a great teacher's gift filled with goodies! Measures 7.5 in. L x 6.5 in. wide when flat as a trivet, and 6 in. H x 6.5 in. W when opened as a basket.
