SiC Ring, Outer Diameter 5.5mm, 6 Pieces

Please carefully measure the ring size of your guide. If the size is incorrect, it will not fit. If you can confirm the model number of the guide, you can determine the required size.

This is a SIC ring.
Please use it to repair a broken guide.
It can be attached to guides where the diameter of the ring contact surface of the frame is 5.5mm.
Here's how to attach it:

1. Prepare the guide frame. The ring contact surface of the frame should be filed smooth beforehand.

2. As shown in the third photo, hold the ring vertically and try to see if it passes through to the other side of the ring. It is ideal if it passes through with a slight push. If it does not pass through, file the frame with a bar file to widen the contact surface.

3. Fit the ring onto the frame. If it is tight, gently crush it with protected pliers to fit. (See photo 4)

4. Apply adhesive to the joint between the ring and the frame. Epoxy adhesive, which allows for some working time, is more suitable than instant adhesive.
Apply the adhesive to the tip of a needle or toothpick and coat both the back and front surfaces by tracing the outer circumference of the ring.
Applying a thin layer of adhesive is sufficient.

Please be careful as the ring can break if subjected to strong impact. It breaks with a crisp pak sound, so be cautious when fitting it with pliers. A set of 3 is included in case of failure.
You can also file the frame more to fit it loosely, although this will reduce the adhesive strength.
If you use epoxy adhesive, it is unlikely to come off, so you don't need to aim for absolute perfection.
