Vintage Japanese Railway Collectible Cloisonne Tie Clip JNR Green Car Mark

Vintage Japanese railway collectible from the JNR era (JNR = Japanese National Railways, operated until 1987).  This cloisonné tie clip has the classic Japanese Green Car mark, introduced by JNR in 1969. The green four-leaf symbol has long been used to identify Green Cars, Japan’s premium railway seating cars.  Made with Japanese shippo-yaki (cloisonné enamel), a traditional Japanese enamel craft where colored glass enamel is fused onto a metal base through high-temperature kiln firing.  ● Approx size: 2 in L ● Estimated Date: 1970s - 1980s. See reference photo for more details.  ● Condition: Excellent vintage condition overall. Pre-owned but most likely unused. However, please expect minor signs of age, as it was stored in a Japanese home for decades. The outer case shows age and storage wear. Please review photos for details.
