●In 1987, the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) revised regulations to curb the escalating development competition in F1 machines.
●Strict restrictions were placed on turbo engines, which had been mainstream until then, and it was announced that turbo engines would be banned from use in 1989.
●For this reason, in the 1988 F1 World Championship, while many teams adopted naturally aspirated engines, McLaren Honda introduced the MP4/4 equipped with the turbo engine RA168E, which did not violate the regulations.
●With Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost as drivers, the team achieved an overwhelming record of 15 wins out of 16 races, and Ayrton Senna won his first Drivers' Championship.

●The cowl section of the body is a single molded piece, and a dedicated stand is included.
●Hollow tires are made of rubber.
●Includes mirror finish sheets for side mirrors, water-transfer decals, carbon fiber decals, and metal decals.
