This late 19th century ,prong set bohemian garnet heirloom quality brooch showcases rose cut natural bohemian garnets ( January Birthstone ) securely prong set in antiqued vermeil (gold) finished sterling silver. Measuring 2 3/8 inch long by 7/8 inch wide, this brooch has a straight hinged pin on the back with a safety closure for security. Jeweler mark is teeny tiny on side of hinged pin of clasp. A tad tarnished. He has detailed tongue and webbed feet. He was my grandmother Nelles.. who collected everything attracting good luck!
