1940’s Coro Pegasus “Chinese Water Carrier” Collectible Figural Brooch

Designed by Adolph Katz for Coro Jewelry, the design patent (#148169) for this “Asian Series motif was applied for in 1946 and officially granted in 1947. The Coro with Pegasus hallmark stamped on the back indicates it was manufactured during Coro's premium mid-century production window between 1945 and 1955. This highly collectible piece features a stylized brass figure wearing a traditional coolie hat. The figure carries a shoulder yoke balances two dangling aqua glass rhinestone water buckets. The jacket is accented with a row of small, vibrant red rhinestones. Measures 1.5” x 1.5” with a secure roll-over clasp. Overall good vintage condition.
