SiC Ring, Outer Diameter 6mm, 3 pcs

These are rings for SiC guides.
They are not genuine Fuji products, but they are smooth and lightweight. (Due to their slightly flattened circular shape, they are inferior to genuine SiC in terms of line noise.)
Use them to repair broken guides or upgrade from hard guides. Simply changing the top guide can make a significant difference.
They can be attached to guides where the diameter of the ring's contact surface on the frame is 6mm.
Here's how to attach them:

1. Prepare the guide frame. The ring contact surface of the frame should be filed smooth beforehand.

2. As shown in the third photo, place the ring vertically and test if it can pass through to the other side. It's ideal if it passes through with a slight push. If it doesn't pass through, file the frame with a rod file to widen the contact surface.

3. Fit the ring onto the frame. If it's tight, gently crush it with protected pliers to fit it. (See fourth photo)

4. Apply adhesive to the seam between the ring and the frame. Epoxy adhesive, which allows for some working time, is more suitable than instant adhesive.
Apply the adhesive to the tip of a needle or toothpick and coat both the back and front surfaces by tracing the outer circumference of the ring.
A thin layer of adhesive is sufficient.

Be careful, as rings can break if subjected to strong impact. They break easily with a snap, so be cautious when fitting them with pliers. A set of 3 is included in case of failure.
Another option is to file the frame more generously to allow for a looser fit, although this will reduce adhesive strength.
With epoxy adhesive, they are unlikely to come off, so don't worry too much about achieving perfection.
