This is an unused compact gaff.
I've brought it to fishing spots several times, but haven't landed any fish with it.
It's incredibly compact and much easier to carry than a landing net.
With an extension of about 60cm, it's perfect for situations where your hands can't quite reach the water from rocks or tetrapods.
It would also be very useful for easily hauling up stingrays or other catches on surf fishing trips.
