The Hatakaze class is the 3rd generation guided-missile destroyer of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. The second ship, Shimakaze, was commissioned on March 23, 1988, at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Nagasaki Shipyard.
It features gas turbine propulsion, and the missile launcher was moved to the front to counter aerial threats from the front. Uniquely among destroyers, it is equipped with a bulwark at the bow to protect against rough seas.
It was stationed in Sasebo with the 8th Escort Flotilla, 4th Escort Flotilla, along with Chokai. On March 19, 2021, following the commissioning of the Maya-class destroyer's second ship, Haguro, it was reclassified as a training ship, and its hull number was changed to 3521. It was incorporated into the 1st Training Squadron of the Training Squadron and transferred to Kure.

For detailed enhancement, handrails, ladders, hawser reels, halyards, radar, etc., have been attached using general-purpose etching parts. A piano wire is used for the long-range communication whip antenna, and metal rigging is used for the signal flag rope, with speed signal markers attached.
Parts from a separate Pit-Road equipment set have been utilized.
Additionally, seam lines have been puttied and finished.

The main body is mounted on a sea base and can be detached with screws, but requires extreme care.
As this is a precision model, measures such as cushioning material will be taken, but damage due to impact during transport is highly possible. We ask for purchases from those who understand this.
