VTG Signed Studio Pottery Stoneware Covered Casserole Dish 9” Handmade Lidded

This beautiful vintage studio pottery covered casserole dish is handmade from speckled stoneware and features hand-painted cobalt blue and olive green brushstroke decoration. The lid has a distinctive twisted braided handle, a hallmark of handmade artisan pottery.  The base is signed. Pieces like this were commonly produced during the 1970s–1980s studio pottery movement, when handmade stoneware kitchenware became popular.  The neutral glaze and rustic design fit perfectly with farmhouse, cottage, and artisan kitchen décor. It functions well as a covered casserole dish, serving bowl, or display piece.
