Stunning Williams Sonoma Nazari hand-painted serving platter, made in Portugal.  This substantial rectangular platter features an incredibly detailed, colorful folk-art design with birds, deer, rabbits, flowers, fruit, architectural motifs and scrolling vines. The deep mustard, olive, blue, burgundy and teal colors are especially beautiful against the creamy white background.  The underside is hand marked:  “NAZARI – SEC. XVII – Made in Portugal – Hand Painted for Williams Sonoma.”  “SEC. XVII” references the 17th-century inspiration for the design.
