How to Use
1. Scrape the magnesium stick with the striker over a flammable material such as untwisted hemp string, tissue paper, or dry leaves.
2. It is easier to ignite if you gather the scraped magnesium powder in one place.
3. Sparks can be generated for ignition by firmly rubbing the striker against the stick. (The trick is to hold the rod firmly over the magnesium powder and strike to create sparks.)
4. Once you have an ember, gradually build the flame by adding newspaper or small kindling.
