Description
Beautiful vintage handmade friendship quilt featuring individually embroidered and signed Sunbonnet Sue appliqué blocks. Measures approximately 77” x 95”. Each block appears to have been made and signed by a different person, making this a wonderful example of community quilting and folk-art craftsmanship. Features pastel floral calico fabrics, embroidered flowers, and purple sashing throughout. Hand-appliquéd details with embroidered outlines and signatures. Vintage preowned condition with expected minor fabric wear in areas. Please view all photos carefully for condition details. There are no holes and stitching is intact. The backing is good and appears sewn by machine. Not sure if this was used much as condition for the age is great.
