Sanshin Picks - Mini - Whale Bone + Whale Bone Plate

This is an extremely rare item that fully utilizes two types of natural materials. Both are made from the rare bones of sperm whales and baleen of fin whales.

*Please note that due to the nature of natural materials, you may find variations in color and fine lines. These are considered characteristics of the material itself.

Whales are known for their long lifespan and have been considered auspicious since ancient times. Whale products are also said to ward off evil when worn.

There may be individuals who report this item to Mercari's Wildlife Protection department, similar to ivory (I have previously received penalties such as item deletion and listing suspension, but after explaining the situation to the department and requesting an investigation, it was finally understood correctly). However, these two types of whale products are not prohibited items by the Ministry of the Environment. I have also confirmed this by phone with the relevant department of the Ministry of the Environment. Furthermore, the baleen used for these materials is over 30 years old, from before Japan ceased whaling.
As stated above, this item does not fall under the category of ivory and specimens of rare wild animals and plants that do not have the required registration under the Species Preservation Law. Therefore, please do not misunderstand. We also ask that purchasers buy with peace of mind.
