Thank you for looking. This is a traditional percussion instrument from the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, called Chong Dap (hand drum). It is a high-quality, brand-new, unused item that I received as a gift from an acquaintance.
Metal rings are attached to the inside of the frame, and when struck, they produce a shimmering sound like a tambourine along with the resonance of the drum.
