I sourced this tiny Whiting & Davis purse because the jeweled clasp and softly gathered metal mesh capture the glamour of vintage evening dressing in one palm-sized piece. Likely late 1940s–early 1950s based on closely matching documented examples; exact production year is unverified. Gold-tone metal mesh body with a short chain handle, geometric frame and ornate clear-rhinestone lift clasp. The blush/apricot woven lining and frame are marked “Whiting & Davis Co. Bags” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” Approx. 5” W x 4” H, excluding handle. Please see measurement photos. Pre-owned vintage condition with authentic age-related patina, finish variation, scratches and surface wear to the mesh, frame and chain.
