★ Types of Parijjo

★ Terra (Compressed Cloth)
Made by layering and compressing multiple pieces of cloth, then molding them. Produces a generally low bass sound.

Terra is lighter than other materials and requires skill to produce sound, but when mastered, its pleasant, warm tone is wonderful.

★ Granadillo (Oak)
Made from molded oak, this is a high-grade item. It has a high-pitched tone with good resonance.

Granadillo has a high-pitched tone,
even beginners can produce beautiful sounds, and it's essential for lively Sevillanas, but it is also the most expensive.

★ Fibra (Synthetic Resin)
Made from molded synthetic resin,
a wide range of products, from inexpensive to expensive, are made depending on the material and its composition.
The sound quality varies from low to high tones,
but generally, there are many with good resonance and higher pitches.

Professional flamenco dancers
often use Terra or Granadillo, but because they are difficult to master and expensive, it is recommended for general stage performances and recitals to choose good quality Fibra.

This item is made in Spain and sourced from Kanela Pura, a store handling products for the Spanish National Ballet.
It is Fibra, size 5.

☆ If you can get used Terra or Granadillo, it would be a great bargain. However, with used items, the string (himo) will loosen, so be sure to replace it with a new one before use.
