This is an obi made for furisode kimono and coming-of-age ceremonies.
This is a genuine silk fukuro obi, a superb piece with wonderful green and gold weaving.

It is a two-piece obi and requires a separate obi pillow. As shown in photos 8-11, the body part is made with a raised center, so there are a total of four ties on the left, right, top, and bottom.

The back part is shown in photos 12-13. The center of the ribbon part is adjustable (it can also be removed).
Slide it to firmly secure the obi pillow below the center of the ribbon (ties will be attached).

Then, return the center part of the ribbon to its original position.
Thread your favorite obi-jime through the same spot, and wear it so that it sits above the obi on your back.
Tie the obi pillow tightly in front.

After that, shape the obi as you like.
You can make it more subdued or dynamic, and change it to match your kimono or personal preference.

It is also possible to ship the obi with the obi pillow and obi-age pre-attached (making it even easier to wear).
