Uses 1.5mm diameter stainless steel wire
Braided into a loop by alternating three strands, so I believe it is stronger than a simple looped and crimped leash.
The protruding wire ends are joined using a special technique, so they won't poke your hand, and the cover prevents scratches on boots, etc.
