Rare Laidback LTE-5R Telecaster Deluxe MOD Maple N

This is a modified Shimamura Music Laidback LTE-5R bass, which is now discontinued due to wood shortages and price increases.

It features top binding and back contouring reminiscent of older FENDER U.S.A. Telecaster Deluxe models. According to the description, the company paid attention to materials, using a North American alder body and a North American maple neck, and incorporated the best features of their FUJIGEN-made HISTORY and COOLZ lines.

As a model that positioned itself similarly to the now-discontinued COOLZ brand, the headstock shape and neck grip are indeed very similar to COOLZ.

This particular item was modified with a focus on the Telecaster Deluxe image, and because I strongly desired a maple neck, I traded it for the maple neck from the 2020 limited edition LVT-5M ASH (it fit perfectly, of course).

Additionally, the neck pickup was weaker compared to the powerful rear pickup, so I had a cavity routed to accommodate a humbucker-to-P90 pickup, and it was replaced with a P94-type pickup of unknown origin but good shape. At the same time, the pickguard was replaced with a pearl one (it fit perfectly with FENDER specifications). The original switch, which allows for a powerful humbucker sound by pulling the tone knob in the center position, is still functional.

Regarding its condition, the neck is visually almost straight, and there is no noticeable fret wear. While there may be some minor scratches on the body, there are no prominent blemishes. It is in beautiful condition with very little sign of use. (Please check the photos as there may be minor oversights.)

Both pickups are currently producing a very powerful sound.

The weight is approximately 3.4-3.5 kg. The case is an aftermarket one included as a bonus for shipping.

While it appears to be in beautiful condition with little sign of use, please understand the above details and bid with no claims or returns (NCNR).

Only those who can make contact within 24 hours and complete payment within 48 hours should bid.
