Description
This is cloth wire commonly used in guitars/basses such as Fender USA.
It is a stranded wire, AWG22 in thickness, and has a substantial feel as it is pre-tinned.
While I don't believe it's genuine Fender USA, I personally notice little difference when replacing it.
There's no hassle of tinning, and I think practicing soldering for guitars/basses is easier starting with wiring replacement. Replacing pots or jacks is also an option.
Based on my personal experience, replacing the wiring material on Japanese or Asian-made guitars/basses often brings them closer to the characteristics of American-made instruments, so I hope you'll give it a try.
