Description
A wooden carving ornament created by the Showa-era temple sculptor Mutsujiro Uzawa (Mitsuyuki Uzawa), who was also responsible for the Kōhai Hijiri-matsuri of Myokenzan Betsuin and the Kōhai dragon carvings of Ukahachiman Shrine.
This is a beautifully carved wooden ornament.
Mother-of-pearl is inlaid into the peacock's tail, enhancing the beauty of its feathers.
The feathers on the head are missing, but I personally did not find it bothersome while admiring it.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such details.
