Vintage Keramik 1950s Zsolnay Attributed Mosaic Reptile Glaze Ceramic Vase 4.75”
Kermik
Vintage Keramik 1950s Zsolnay Attributed Mosaic Reptile Glaze Ceramic Vase 4.75” Striking vintage spherical ceramic vase dating to approximately the 1950s and attributed to Zsolnay of Pécs, Hungary. This sculptural art pottery vessel features a deep black glazed surface covered with an intricate raised brown and bronze mosaic pattern resembling reptile, crocodile, or snakeskin. Each irregular section varies in shape and size, creating a fascinating dimensional surface that changes with the light. The rounded egg-shaped silhouette, small circular opening, rich earth tones, and highly tactile glaze give this vase a bold Mid-Century Modern and organic modern presence. Beautiful displayed alone as a sculptural object or paired with a single dried stem. Perfect for a mantel, bookshelf, console table, office, curio cabinet, or European pottery collection. The Zsolnay attribution is based on comparable examples and has not been independently authenticated.
