Gli Etruschi Italian Studio Pottery Vases Pair Yellow Lava Glaze‎ Florence MCM

A pair of mid-century Italian studio pottery vases attributed to Gli Etruschi of Florence. Their architectural silhouette is finished in a mustard yellow glaze over a textured volcanic brown base, creating a dramatic contrast characteristic of the workshop's ceramic designs. Comparable documented examples retaining original Gli Etruschi labels share this form and glaze treatment, with some examples attributed to designer Ivo de Santis. These bottles are attributed to Gli Etruschi, Florence, Italy, based on multiple documented examples with identical forms and glaze treatments. Comparable examples retaining original Gli Etruschi paper labels have appeared on the secondary market, and some have been attributed to designer Ivo de Santis. As these examples are unsigned and no original labels remain, the designer attribution is presented as informed scholarship rather than definitive fact. Measurements: • Height: 11.5 • Width: 4.5 Very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Minor glaze irregularities, small firing imperfections, and light wear consistent with hand-crafted studio pottery. Felt pads have been added to the bases. We carefully select every item and believe in transparency. In the case of vintage or pre-owned items, we don't always know their full history, but we have high standards and won't list or sell anything we wouldn't use ourselves. All items come from a smoke-free home.
