AMPRO 1950s Speakers! Super Vintage

This is a 12-inch speaker cabinet from the manufacturer AMPRO. Made in Chicago. It has an unusual design where you open the back panel and plug directly into the speaker itself. I'm not sure of the maximum wattage, but if it blows, a replacement likely doesn't exist, so I believe it's quite rare. I purchased it around 1993-1994 at a music store in Los Angeles, where it was described as having a 1950s speaker. According to the store, the attached handle is the same type of part used on Gibson amps of that era. Not sure why that matters lol. Personally, I think it sounds good, better than its appearance might suggest, with a vintage feel but not overly narrow in its frequency range. I occasionally used it for recording, connecting it to smaller-diameter vintage combo amps like 8 or 10 models from the 70s, such as Vibro Champ and Princeton Reverb. It hasn't been used recently, so I'm putting it up for sale. As it's equipment from about 70 years ago, there is significant wear, including dirt, rust, and scratches. It is currently working without issue, but future operation cannot be guaranteed. It will be packed with bubble wrap and cardboard for shipping.
