This product is a Magewappa that was sold through crowdfunding.

As part of an initiative to reduce single-use plastic containers,
we wanted to promote a culture of takeout in personal containers.

Therefore, we focused on Magewappa, which has become increasingly popular as a bento box.
Simply packing your food in Magewappa
transforms your usual takeout into something a little special.

The sales from this product
are used to support activities that promote the widespread adoption of personal takeout containers.

Magewappa, crafted with techniques passed down for generations in Odate City, Akita Prefecture, is a historic craft designated as a Traditional Japanese Craft in 1980. It is made by bending thin boards of Akita cedar with heat and carefully binding them with cherry bark. Its appeal lies in the beauty of its wood grain, its lightness, and its natural texture.
