Damyang in Jeollanam-do Province is famous as a region for bamboo in Korea. Damyang has prospered in bamboo crafts since ancient times, but the Damyang bamboo craft market quickly declined with the advent of plastic and imported goods.
Originally, it was made for soldiers' lunch boxes. Bamboo baskets are not only excellent in breathability and suitable for storing food, but can also store anything. As each item is handmade, the shape and size may vary slightly from product to product.
