Antique Magewappa Bento Boxes - Estate Find - Set of 2 (Large & Small) - Maruni Brand
58.08 $
Description
This is a set of two antique Magewappa containers, large and small, from a private collection purchased at an antique market.
The larger one is lacquered, while the smaller one is an innocence specification.
Both have the Maruni Ni (丸に二) mark carved into them. They appear to be from a private collection, but despite our research, we could not determine their exact origin due to their age.
They are likely from the Edo or Meiji period. While there is significant age-related deterioration, including cracks and peeling lacquer, they possess a unique antique charm. We recommend them to those who appreciate antiques.
If you intend to use them for practical purposes, we suggest using them as containers for small items, sewing notions, or similar objects. For hygiene reasons, please refrain from using them for bento boxes or storing food.
Size:
Large: W19.5cm D10cm H9cm
Small: W13.5cm D7cm H6.5cm
*Both measurements are taken with the lids closed.
Please note that we do not sell these items separately.
