【Product Description】
This is a handmade hand-crank roaster with a cover, capable of roasting 100g to 500g of beans.
In my experience, 400g is the easiest amount to roast.
I purchased this on a flea market site.
According to the previous owner, it is a handmade product from a certain ironworks.
It is a very well-made and durable roaster.

The drum is square and features a hybrid design with alternating punched and flat stainless steel. It has a damper to efficiently raise the temperature inside the roaster, achieving an even roast.
A hidden window on the top of the unit allows you to check the bean color without opening the damper.

When I first started roasting, I used a hand pan, but after purchasing this hand-crank roaster, I was amazed at how much faster I could roast my target amount and achieve a more even roast.
My method was to place the roaster on the included stainless steel stand (DIY item) and apply flame from an outdoor burner.

Another roaster of the same model is listed by another seller for ¥50,000, with less use than mine. However, mine will develop a similar level of wear with use, making it a great value with the included handmade trivet!

As this is a cooking utensil, please expect some dirt and signs of use.
The pulley part of the drum may make a slight squeaking sound due to friction between stainless steel parts. I reduced the noise by applying oil each time I roasted.
