Description
The Gujo Odori dance has a history dating back to the Edo period, and it is said that the lord of the time encouraged it as a Bon Odori (Obon dance) to foster harmony among the people, which led to it becoming a folk dance.
The songs and dances of Gujo Odori have a tradition of over 400 years and continue to flourish. This DVD features the representative four songs, clearly explained and instructed by the members of the authentic Hachiman-cho Gujo Odori Preservation Society, so you can start dancing right away.
