This is a tea caddy made from Kaba-zaiku (cherry bark craft), a traditional craft from Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture.
It was used in my family home and shows some signs of age-related deterioration.

As this item is made from natural tree bark, some peeling of the bark is inherent from the beginning. We ask for your understanding before purchasing.
