〈Product Description〉
This is a Soviet Army canteen set.
I purchased it as a deadstock item, washed it with detergent and baking soda, and then stored it. It has never been used.
When I purchased it, it was as greasy as rumored. The packing inside the canteen cap (the black rubber in the image) had an industrial oil smell that I couldn't get rid of, so I cut a silicone cup cover to use as a substitute. The original packing is included with the product.
I have used a similar product with the same cleaning and substitute packing for camping, and it has worked without any leaks so far.
There are cases where the canteen gets stuck after thorough washing, but this unit could be smoothly inserted and removed. However, the handle of the small pot when stored feels much stiffer than my own similar product, so I personally think it would be easier to use if it were slightly bent or filed down.
I have not washed the storage case for fear of it shrinking. It is stiff and does not get oily when touched (my own similar product was the same).
This item has only been opened, washed, and had its packing replaced, and has not been used at all. However, as it is a deadstock item and quite old, it has scratches and dents. There also seem to be considerable individual differences (my own product's canteen got stuck, so I bent the pot), so please check the product photos and consider purchasing after understanding the characteristics.

〈Reason for Listing〉
I originally used the same canteen set as my main cookware and liked it very much. I also thought it would become harder to obtain in the future as the number of available items decreases, so I purchased this as a spare.
However, the construction is very robust, so I don't think the pot itself will become unusable. If it were to break, I think it would be the hanger part of the large pot. If it breaks, I could drill a hole and attach a hanger, which would look rugged and good. So, I decided that since I had thoroughly cleaned it, I wanted someone to use it, and decided to list it.

〈Finally〉
As this is a deadstock item... although it has been repeatedly washed and boiled (with baking soda), please use it as cookware at your own risk.

This concludes the description.
Thank you for your consideration.
