Vintage Strömbergshyttan B702 Swedish Art Glass Vase Engraved Peacocks Signed

Beautiful vintage Strömbergshyttan Swedish art glass vase, signed on the base and numbered B702.  This substantial vase is crafted from exceptionally thick, heavy glass with the subtle ice-blue tint associated with Strömbergshyttan glass. The front features an elegant engraved design of two stylized peacocks, with long tail feathers and delicate detailing.  The sculptural form is especially striking, with a thick solid base, gently flared body, rounded rectangular opening, and deep interior well that creates wonderful optical effects through the glass.  The underside is hand signed “Strömberg” and B702. Strömbergshyttan used letter-and-number codes on its signed glass, with the B designation indicating a vase and the number identifying the model.  A beautiful example of mid-century Scandinavian glass design and a wonderful piece for a collection of Swedish art glass, engraved glass, or Scandinavian modern decor.  Approximate Measurements: 7 1/8 tall 3 1/2 wide  Condition: Very good vintage condition. There is a surface scratch along the top/rim area, shown in the photographs. This is a scratch and not a crack. Light surface wear may be present consistent with age and previous use. Please review all photographs closely as they are part of the description.
